Homemade Christmas gifts....post #2

Have a married couple that might enjoy a board with their name and year they were married on it? Mr. T drew my little sister's name...so that is just what she is getting!

My sister (and her husband) are Seattle Seahawk "FANATICS"...I don't think I can truly explain how much they LOVE the Seahawks...so when I asked my mom what color scheme to go with for the "established board" I wanted to make...she so smartly said,
"do it in the Seahawk's colors...then she can hang it anywhere:)"

and so I did....

I bought everything at Joanns...including the vinyl. Used my cricut to cut out the letters...painted the 2 shades of blue (Seahawk style) added the vinyl (sweet neon green, huh?) and there you have it!

I was really concerned about how it would look (not my style at all)...but I actually LOVE the way it turned out! I hope she does too!

Or how about an FHE board...

Bought a board at The Wood Connection for $4...bought 6 little pieces of wood for $.15 a piece...and some pegs to hold the names for $.30 a piece...for a grand total of (roughly) $7.

Gave them a good sand and blast with black spray paint...

roughed up the edges and used my cricut to cut out all the vinyl...
(name boards are hung with twine)

Want to make one as a gift?
Add a FHE book and some treats, maybe a game and call it...

"A FHE night gift box"

I still have a long list of more things to create....
this week is going to be super busy...but should be lots of fun!

That turned out very cute. I am impressed...Seahawk colors and all. Isn't going to be a little anticlimactic when your sister reads this blog only to get it later as a present?

I really need to learn how to use my cricut to do such fun things.

I really need a CRICUT. You did a GREAT job-not my "style" either but I understand when people are fanatics.
