Handmade Christmas gifts...post #1

I LOVE to bake...but I definitely don't need to eat ALL that I bake. It is especially hard this time of year...there are so many yummy things to cook up in the kitchen...guess it's a good thing I love my neighbors:)

On Monday, I went to my good friend Teri's house so she could show me her sure fire way of making caramel and chocolate dipped pretzels...YUM! I had all the fixin's for the caramel...so today, I whipped up a batch...

It made A LOT...

Here come your first round of gifts, my sweet neighbors...

*****************

This is one of my favorite things that I have made this year as gifts...

we made them at a super Saturday last month, at church...but I think I paid too much, as I have found the parts of this cheaper elsewhere...oh well...

Glass block...
(hobby lobby has them for $9...but use that coupon...cheap!)

meet Nativity vinyl...
(get on Etsy...I've seen them there)

and how 'bout a bow to sparkle things up...

still not enough...

so I headed to the basement and busted out the cricut and my own vinyl...

add some white on white lights...

beautiful!

Who wouldn't love this for Christmas...or maybe a little early so they can enjoy it this year!
And yes, I always keep one for myself:)

Katie sent me 3 of her vinyls that she is using at Super Saturday, they are adorable!! I need to go and get the blocks so that I can finish them. And those caramels do look yummy, also on my list.

You're my hero. May I stalk you? I'm a great cook, so I guess I can handle caramel, but that crafty touch you've got is something I envy soooo much. Love that!
