Ohhhh...it's getting there...

What do you do with an unused closet full of Christmas stuff?

Find a new home for the Christmas stuff...patch and paint the closet...

buy a work table at Ikea for $9.99...

Have Mr. T cut the oversized table down to a more workable size...

enlist Lil D to help with the "man's work"...

Put that table top into the empty closet...

add the shelving from the "guest" room...
and call it a "CRAFT CLOSET"....woot woot!

Okay...so we aren't quite done...but oh so close (close enough that I couldn't handle keeping my craft stuff out any longer)...Mr. T is going to nail down the work top into the supports he put in the walls then attach those 2 legs laying on the floor (probably more supportive attached to the table then laying on the floor).

I am also going to make a fabric covered cork board for the big open section in the middle. I bought a new chair that I am going to add fabric too AND we decided to take the closet doors off (to open up the bedroom part more) so I am going to make curtains to hide my closet when guests are visiting.

I'm just thrilled that we are so close to finishing this project...I SO want to make some jewelry in my "to make" file and I have been putting off till this was all done.

AND

with this closet done (I'll show final pictures when all the details are done), I can turn around and start working on the guest room....I'm so excited to get going in there!

This looks great! What a great idea, too! I was thinking you have plenty of room to do a corkboard or something in that space on the wall. I hope you'll share the rest when you are done!

how exciting to have a nice organized place for all your stuff...I started organizing, but, eh, most of it's still on the floor of the office...

My dream! I want a craft closet. A space where I can simultaneously craft and store my supplies. What a cool idea to simply cut a table top to fit in there. Love it!

That looks great! Thanks for following! Don't you love it when your kids help out with projects? Mine is almost 13 and doesn't help anymore!!! Enjoy it while they are young... Oh I love hand bags.. I live for handbags and shoes you can never have to many!!!
