7 years and counting!

8 years ago today, I went out on a blind date (thanks to my cousin Hannah)...guess it worked out well for us...

'cause one year later we did this...

and 7 years later we are here...

what do we have to show for it...

Him...

I was hoping we could sneak away from this little one for the weekend, but things didn't work out, then my normal babysitter had family in town so she couldn't help out...I finally gave up and figured we would just spend our Friday night celebrations as a family..
(we couldn't go out Saturday and Sunday we don't...so we were celebrating a few days early:)

That was until Mr. T called from work on Friday and informed me that he had gotten someone to take Lil D (THANKS again Baileys) and to be ready to go out for dinner at 5:30.

Are you kidding? I'm the planner in the family...want a date night? It's up to me...want Lil D to be with someone besides us?...up to me. Best anniversary present ever...having Mr. T take charge...not only of the babysitter situation but even picking somewhere to eat. We ALWAYS go to the same places and I have been saying that I want to try new restaurants, so we did. We ate dinner here and then went and had dessert here.

It was a wonderful evening together!

Saturday, we went out to breakfast (Lil d had a ball) and then he was a good husband again and bought me some flowers...gerbera daises...LOVE them! I am one of those girls that LOVES to get flowers and it is a requirement on special days that I receive them...Mr. T never fails here...(maybe he knows better:)

Today, I made one of our favorite meals for dinner: honey balsamic salmon, rice and asparagas and then we ate this for dessert...it's our favorite!

It was a wonderful anniversary weekend!

Happy Anniversary Mr. T!

Congratulations on 7 years of wedded bliss! How romantic for him to do all the planning. I'm the planner in our family so its always a good shocker when the roles are reversed! Your dinner choices looked wonderful and fondue for dessert is so fun!

Congrats!! Anniversaries are exciting!! And your meal sounds yummy!
That is kind of funny that you and your husband got married a year after your blind date! My husband and I were the same way. We met from an online site and got married just short of a year later!
