On Saturday, I drove a few hours with my mom, youngest brother and sister and Lil d to hang out with my Grandma and 2 of my aunts and a cousin.
....When we left the floors looked like this....
...I came home to this...
...this was on the side of the yard...
It was a long day for Mr. T. Luckily, 2 of his buddies came over to sweat in the dust and mess (can't say enough thanks to Bryan and Dave). He is still sore today and the guys at work said he was walking like an old man...but hey...it's all out...THRILLED!
...This morning, my mom and I finished painting the upstairs hallway...
....Then my little brother came over....
....we did this....
(it's really funny to roll carpet as you lift items over it...
it's a good thing we are all so strong:)
....lil d tried to slow us down by doing this....
but we succeeded...and we are now strictly walking on cement and plywood...
Lil D does NOT like that...he has said the following:
"Daddy made the floor really messy"
"can't you put the tile back together?"
"why are you taking the carpet away?"
"WHERE ARE MY FLOP FLOPS?"
He'll get over it...when his cars can go flying across the laminate floors:)
Still so much left to do...good thing my mama is here so Mr. T and I could go out and get a few more things picked out and purchased. Our cabinet guy came over to get the deposit so he can build the cabinets...they should be ready in just over a week...did I mention we have a lot left to do before that can happen? AHHHHHHH....I'm tired:)
But...mama's here for 2 more days and she thinks we need to get some of the doors painted...good on ya mama...let's get to paintin'

A huge job, but it will look so great when you are done. What a blessing to have your mom there to help. :) Thanks for the visit today!
