So, since I am at an almost standstill at what I can accomplish I decided to spend a little time planning the decor...'cause I can:)
The Family room...it currently has our couch and tv...I'm not sure what more to do with it...but the current tv stand has got to go. Maybe I will go with a new corner tv stand to help update the look and save some room in the process. What I know for sure is that we are doing built ins around the fireplace and board and batten on the walls...oh I can't wait to get to that step. We'll finish the room off with crown molding and hopefully I will be able to find an area rug that doesn't break the bank. Then I'll be taking any advice for an awkward area in the room.
I can't even think about the kitchen decor until it is all in...especially since we haven't made a final decision on the countertops....granite or quartz...quartz or granite...good night people have strong differing opinions.
My living room I have a little better vision for...although, I want to spend very little money, which means I need to get out garage saleing (word?) and hitting the thrift stores for some steals of deals that I can update. What's bad, is that I kinda have in my mind what I want...not always good when you are looking for cheap used stuff. Oh well...hopefully, I can find something I like:)
Alright...enough daydreaming. I've got a few more doors to hang...the kitchen and pantry to finish packing and the pantry to tear out...fun.fun.fun!

Can't wait to see it! I agree with one of the previous comments, it is fun to start from scratch. I wish I'd had my creative hat back when we first moved in our house. I could have done so much! Now everything is furnished and we're out of room for all of my new stuff. I'm gonna have to start selling stuff to make way for the new. ha ha
