I'm slowly working on my family room...
trying to update it and "design" it...
I'm not real great at it...
but I have a few ideas as to what I want the overall feel to be...
so I'm slowly moving along...
and now that the Christmas decor is all packed away...
I can move even more "slowly" on it...
I partially covered these candles in twine for my Thanksgiving tablescape...
Then decided to use them on my family room mantel instead of packing them away.
So I needed something to fill up more of my mantel on the other end and I saw the
so I straight up copied...
It took a lot longer then I thought it would...
but I do love it...
(please ignore the itty bitty candle next to the "T"...it is NOT working...but I forgot to move it before I snapped pictures...you can also ignore the man in the frame or read that story here and realize it ain't going anywhere...)
...besides moving that too small candle...any other suggestions on "mantel decor"?

I think it looks good! I am in the process of trying to come up with something for my mantle as well. Good Luck! :)
You could make a set of blocks that say Welcome or something else on them that way they would fit below the picture. Or go with more pictures, haha. The twine letter and candles turned out really cute I am trying to redo mine too!!
I think your mantle looks great and I love that you are a copy cat! I haven't had an original idea since I started blogstalkin! For your umantle, I would add another texture. I would probably add some kind of greenery to soften it or a picture or even a stack of pretty books!
That T looks so cute. I love it.
