The new floors...

I didn't do a good job taking before pics of the carpet...this is the best I've got...please excuse the mess...

We had carpet in the family room...

and living room...

The kitchen (with the banister already gone).

The tile went from the front door...a path to the kitchen, throughout the kitchen...down three stairs and then a path to the garage door and into a bathroom.

We tore it ALL out (and by we I mean...me, Mr. T, some family and friends)
You can see the demo and what we lived with for a short bit here and here.

AND then....the new floors were installed....

the living room.

the kitchen.

The family room.

the stairs are still not done...Mr. T has not yet purchased the stair pieces.
(do you love my rags...it's to try and keep the dust that I can't get rid of from the dirty stairs off my floor)

Lil D LOVES the new swiffer sweeper I bought...mostly because it is green...but he won't stop using it...guess I should be grateful.

We couldn't be happier with the floors...just love them...can't wait for the kitchen to get done and installed though. Guess the nice thing about the floors being done (even though the kitchen isn't) is that we can keep moving forward on the baseboards, board and batten, crown molding etc. We spent Mr. T's lunch hour at Home Depot trying to make a few more decisions...I think we found a great tile for the backsplash...I wasn't sold on doing a tile back splash until Mr. T saw it...oh I fell a little bit in love. So still lots to do...but at least we are in the "put it back together mode" instead of the "take it all mode".

more after pics to come...once I can get my butt in gear again:)

We pulled the carpet out of half of the house 5 years ago and installed laminate ourselves - we love it! And it still looks great 5 years later. i can't believe we lived with that nasty carpet for sooo long...

Those look great. We love the wood floors in our house. They are easy to take care of. I do have to say...be warned...they get dusty fast.

I love the new flooring. You house looks like almost exactly the same floor plan as we had when we lived in West Jordan. Who built your house. The floors really do look amazing!
